Let's face it: on the Riviera is not never been much room for culture. Only in recent years there has been a recovery attempt on this side, also to enrich an offer of accommodation that is likely to fossilize scenario-known and widely exploited. And especially no more exclusive: the seaside tourism has no boundaries and clubs and trendy bars have sprung up everywhere.
Nevertheless, it seems to me that there is still a kind of distrust of events and cultural projects to closely, both by tourists from the people here. Even those who agree to participate do so without being able to get rid of everything from a certain uneasiness, as if you were to ask at every step whether it is really the case go so far.
It is said that periods of economic crisis push to get closer, or return to certain aspects of life, usually neglected in favor of others. Exit and travel less then you spend more time to gather themselves ... I think this is only partly true. There are now too many people who feel lost once collected in themselves. To Fortunately there is television, the real socio-existential shock of this year, that prevents us all crashing to the ground if we try just the way of deep thinking: a long narrow ledge that runs above the abyss.
However, when the hotel closed, I went in search of opportunities that allowed me to cultivate my interests, the same people who are always forced to sacrifice during the summer due to lack of time and mental clarity.
"Go to the search" is the right expression because it is not easy to find opportunities for cultural enrichment in the newspaper. The most that we can hope for is a poster out of public spaces posting but how many people do you know who read the posters? So you have to go much further, advancing in a particular undergrowth. You need to go into libraries and bookstores, comb through local newspapers (especially those distributed for free) or to visit those friends who shun worldliness misanthropes like a contagious disease. They will update you on every little cultural events, exhibitions by local exposures in some private garages.
In recent weeks I have acquired all sorts of information about courses, exhibitions, workshops, meetings, conferences and so forth, careful selection is based on my interests. Then the collected material is not that some of that available, which shows how the supply of events and cultural initiatives in our area is richer than an imagine.

The list could go on with the programs of other theaters, other film festivals, art exhibitions, music festivals, as well as festivals, fairs and museums. Typically there are names known to most of those who treat or intervene in these events, but some initiatives begin important to have a curriculum and they happen to witness the number of famous people, people who write papers or make notes in the guest broadcasts!
I will certainly return and personal testimonies in the next post.
